“I had the opportunity to participate in summer research funded by Assumption’s Natural Sciences Department, and it was a valuable experience I will never forget! I was able to work alongside a knowledgeable mentor, investigating complex questions, testing theories, and learning important lab techniques. It was amazing being able to apply what I had learned in the classroom to a real-life, academic setting. Performing undergraduate research solidified my decision to pursue a career in science, and I believe it will make me a well-rounded physician in the future.”
